Right now we are looking at waves and how they interact with matter. We just got done talking about sound waves and will be looking more into electromagnetic waves. Below is the notes students can work through as the read about electromagnetic waves.
Students may use their textbooks, or I have attached a PDF that has the reading for each section.

Chapter 17: Electromagnetic Waves
Lesson 1 Directions:
Lesson 1 Directions:
- Read through lesson 1 and fill out the notes that go along with the reading. (I have made the notes more like the review questions for this section.)
- Once you have finished the notes drop them into the "Assignment Folder" below.
- Then use your notes to take the practice quiz. Once you have finished the practice quiz, drop that into the "Assignment Folder" as well. **You will have to refresh the page when you go to submit another assignment.
- Then attempt to work on Lesson 1 Math Skills and when finished submit that as well into the "Assignment Folder"
- All of lesson 1 assignments are due by April 13th!

- Once you are done with the reading and notes, there is a worksheet that goes along with this section. You will need to research the different types of radiation and answer some questions. We will talk about this on Monday's zoom because it can be confusing.

- An introduction
- Characteristics and uses of the first wave
- Characteristics and uses of the second wave
- Similarities shared by the waves
- Differences between the waves and
- Conclusion

- This essay should be broken up into paragraphs and should be over a page but less than three pages in length.

- We are starting Chapter 18 this week. You will find the lesson 1 reading Light, Matter, and Color reading below. You will need to read through this section and then fill out the notes that go along with lesson 1. Once you have finished the notes please submit them into the Assignment Folder below.
- Once you have finished the reading and notes there is a worksheet that goes along with this section. You will need to complete this worksheet and then submit it to the Assignment Folder below.
- I am also adding a challenge for this week, it is OPTIONAL! This challenge will allow you to make your own dyes to 'tie-dye ' your clothes. This looks pretty fun if you try it let me know and show me the outcomes!
